Reasons for trip

It wasn’t what we expected! My husband and I thought we would drive into Birmingham and visit the canal area – Brindley Place, Gas St, Symphony Hall area etc. A lunch overlooking the water was the plan! Much to our amazement we came across a Christmas Floating Market! About 12 narrow boats displaying and selling all sorts of arts and crafts. We chatted with lots of boat owners, bought several unusual and interesting gifts. This is an annual event and we will certainly look out for it again in December this year. The signage was a bit sparse but it was easy enough to spit the boats and their colourful banners and lights!
