I live in Worcestershire, my daughter and her family live in Shropshire, therefore we met up in Birmingham to have a day together ( just ourselves). We met in the New Street Station, which had a big WOW from both of us, we had lived in Birmingham my daughter before she married, she and her husband had married in St Martins in the Bullring Church, and myself I left when I retired. The centre was familiar but also very new we found so much to talk of as we wondered around, pointing out contrasts of the past and the new, with so many happy memories. It started to rain so we went into the shopping complex enjoyed a meal, afterwards, toured the shops. being amazed at the variety of things for sale and a riot of colour everywhere. Time flew by and we both had trains to catch so sadly we made our way to the Station vowing to return when we can for there is so much more to discover and see. The weather being so cold, windy raining and changeable did not matter one jot.
