Relaxation

We stayed for one night at the Hotel Floreal near Vence after disembarking our cruise ship in Nice. We wanted a small hotel at a reasonable price from which to visit some of the lovely old towns and villages within an easy drive of Nice ready for our flight home the following day. This hotel is part of the Best Western group but had a personal feel to it and we were made very welcome.

When we arrived we chose to upgrade to a superior room on the ground floor overlooking the garden but as we had booked online from the UK at a good rate, we paid no more than the standard room rate.

The room was clean and comfortable with en-suite bathroom and had a door opening onto the garden and pool area. Breakfast was a very nice buffet eaten in the small restaurant overlooking the pool.

We had a lovely day visiting local villages including Tourettes sur Loup, Vence and Eze and drove up to a beautiful viewpoint where there was an old fort and the views were spectacular, overlooking Eze and towards Nice.

We then had time to relax in the pretty garden at the hotel and have a swim in the pool. As the hotel was very quiet, it was a lovely peaceful end to our holiday.
