We arrived late on the Monday night, due to 4hr delay at Gatwick, only to be told they were over booked and one floor was blocked. We found out later why. Sent to another hotel for 2 nights, room was good but food and pool awful, got back to Be Live on the Wednesday afternoon, room still not ready, so that was 2 days wasted. They promised us an upgrade and cash settlement, nothing. On Friday afternoon there was a flood on our floor and all the hot water was bright orange!! Took over a hour to clear, then to top it all 6am Saturday morning went into bathroom only to find cockroaches everywhere. We asked for another room, no joy, asked for manager not available, they sent a maintenance man up with a can of bug spray. No way we're we going to spray it as I have asthma. Tried repeatedly to change room/speak to manager. In desperation rang Cosmos 24hr line, and guess what it was the local rep's day off. By now we'd seriously had enough so we decided to leave. Cosmos booked us on the 8pm flight Saturday and then they forgot to pick us up from the hotel!!! It gets worse because miraculously a manager appeared as we were returning keys and offered us an upgrade if we would stay. Too little too late, so all in all for our 10 night holiday, we spent 2 nights in a shabby old hotel and 3 nights in the resort. This hotel was advertised as 5 star!! I have written to them but they don't want to know and Cosmos sent us a measly £300 cheque. We paid over £2000 for this holiday, but never again with Cosmos or Lanzarote.
