This is a lovely setting, overlooking the green and Hutton Beck and right next to the Ryedale Folk Museum. There is seating inside, although on a warm and sunny day in early June, everyone was choosing to sit outside – although we did go inside to suss out the cake selection. They also provide gluten free choices.
There was chocolate cake, scones and fruit cake, which being in Yorkshire was served with a slice of served with a slice of Wensleydale Cheese. All were very good. It was also ‘proper’ tea in a tea pot with tea leaves!
The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Dogs are also welcome and a bowl of water is provided as well as doggie treats!
