Today a large group of my family and friends and myself headed to The Bannatyne Spa Fairfield Hall Hitchin Road Stotfold Bedfordshiire We pre-booked our Spa day for 16 eight weeks ago and had been looking forward to it since then. The experience was booked through Red Letter Day Experience days and the costs was £105 for two people. This included full use of the gym, pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub and one hours treatment per person. Having paid over £800 for our group we had high expectations and were not disappointed. The spa is part of a large complex which includes a hotel and resturant. The spa has only been opened for just over a year and a lot of thought had gone into the design it is very relaxing, spacious and clean. The beautiful curved room with heated loungers was a favourite with everyone. The treatment of a facial and back/shoulder massage was heavenly and did indeed last an hour. Pampered with sweet smelling products and no hard sell pressure to buy any we wander of to the cafe for lunch. The prices for a very good ploughmans was less than £5 and coffee cost £2. Then it was back for a swim or to the hot tub. We spent a very happy seven hours at the spa and would definetly recommend it. The shower facilities were good and the £3 cost of hiring a bathrobe and towel included slippers to keep and a very good cloth bag. The staff were wonderful and we had an amazing day.
