Culture / Sightseeing

I stayed here as a single female (63yrs) traveller. I chose it as it was in a vibrant area but with many quiet residential streets, plazas with cafes, shops and restaurants, and near enough to walk to the Botanical Gardens and some boulevards. All chosen by Google map!! The house is a delight, old and converted into an airy, light environment. There is an exterior courtyard garden to relax, or to eat breakfast if desired, the public rooms are comfortable and useable, I had free WiFi connection and was able to catch up on lots of correspondence. Although within walking distance of a local Plaza of restaurants, bars and cafes, childrens playground, bus route and bust 'through road' the house was a haven of peace and calm and I slept very well both nights. My bedroom was adequate, comfortable, air-conditioned (necessary as temperature was 38deg C!) and had en-suite shower room. The en-suite was the only problem area, a little 'worn out' and, although clean, seemed 'grubby'. Plenty of hot water though. The landlady was a charming young woman who served a 'minimalist' breakfast of croissants and jam, coffee or tea. She was very helpful with directions and advice and organised a taxi from, and taxi to two different airports. The other rooms (doubles) that I saw in passing looked a little better than my own in terms of décor.
