I have just come back from a cruise on Azura one of the larger ships in the P&O fleet. I have cruised previously on its sister ship Ventura.

We sailed round the UK and Iceland. It was obvious that we would not have wall to wall sunshine, and we did have a lot of drizzle and wind. Therefore why was the entertainment not changed to suit this type of weather? All inside daytime entertainment was put on by the ship’s staff (gym; medical; photography; etc) things that they would try and urge you to buy things. The only lecturer had purchased copies of her lectures, and learnt them overnight. We did not bother to go. My husband made the remark that if the referendum had not been on he would have been really bored. As it was we spent most of the time in our cabin watching the tv, (rather a small one).

We had onboard credit which we were going to use for our tours, but when we tried to book them, we found that they were nearly all full, consequently I did not manage one!

Everyone that we spoke to had sailed with P&O several times, and made the comment that standards are going down. I assume that this is the case everywhere.

I just wondered if other cruisers are finding the same type of problems with the cruise lines that they use.
