In the lively centre of town (but bedroom has effective soundproof glazing – and local people don’t (miss-)behave like (some) Brits abroad!).

Noted that the ‘official’ address appears as Nizami street, but the entrance used was around the corner in Mardanov Qardanslan.

The hotel bedrooms occupy the first, second and third (top) floors of the building, with reception also on 1st floor (ie – one up – three flights of stairs – from ground). There’s mo elevator and that top floor is eight flights of stairs up – you need to be reasonably fit!
Note that, as with some other ‘hotels’ in Baku centre, there’s no evening meal restaurant facility – but plenty of options in the immediate (and pleasantly vibrant) vicinity. Bedroom was completely modern and spacious, with a wide double bed that seems usual in Baku (from my own experience). Good work desk (with two small drawers), kettle with tea/coffee, good bathroom (over-bath shower), hanging wardrobe with safe and shelf space, plus bedside cabinets with additional drawer space. Air con.
WiFi. TV with a 600+ channel list – though the English-language channels are mainly news/business channels…as I only watch sport on the few occasions I switch the TV on – language is not a problem! There’s no elevator, so you need to be happy to walk up flights of stairs but, if you’re ok with that, I’d recommend this hotel.

Breakfast buffet had three hot items (scrambled egg, sausage, and a local grain- based dish), fresh and dried fruit, yogurt (pots and a big bowl of natural), breads, cheeses and cold meats, cake, toaster.

I’d happily stay here again, despite the stairs! I was only here for one night due to a mix-up between client company and regular hotel – compounded when the Austin couldn’t give me a second night and I was moved to a not-at-all-so-good alternative (see Central Baku Hotel).
