Our second New Year stay at Aston Hall was even better than the first and convinced us that we MUST come again during the year for another great night out. We got an upgrade to a room in the ''Gods''. I am not sure whether this was because we have been before or because I flashed a Rewards card; but whatever, the room was probably the best we have ever stayed in, it showed everything that marks a Hotel with long history but lacked nothing you could expect of modern accommodation. The food was superb and served HOT. The entertainment was top notch and the mix of live/disco and old standards/modern was well judged. It only lacked a piper at midnight? We were disappointed to see the number of ''Black Tie'' wearers was down but that is probably an ''age'' thing. The staff were above reproach and a credit to the Hotel especially the delightful ladies on reception. All in all, we would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel. We would also do so for Best Western Rewards, it's a ''no brainer''.
