Ashford Castle is a medieval castle turned five star luxury hotel near Cong on the Mayo/Galway border in Ireland, on the shore of Lough Corrib. Superb food and amenities We were treated to a long weekend for our 45th Wedding Anniversary and it was a magical experience from begining to end. Not surprised that Piers Brosnan chose Ashford Castle for his Wedding venue in 2001 ! Expensive but for a very special occasion it's a memorable experience.
