Reasons for trip

Culture / Sightseeing

Travelling on my own I had a single room, big mistake, Bathroom/toilet was minute and the room's small window looked over a working building site so no lay ins for me. Normal rooms and family rooms looked ok to me, and other guests seemed happy. Unfortunately the rooftop bar/restaurant is closed outside High Season (my main reason for choosing) but it looked very nice. Breakfast was normal Greek breakfast fare eg ham.boiled eggs, cheese etc – plentiful. Tip: stock up with breakfast because eating prices in Athens are quite high. Reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful though not Greek. There is a lift to upper floors.Very easy access from local underground station (just round the corner)where the international buses stop,Use underground (cheap and reliable) to get to other areas of the city with ease, it is perhaps not wise to walk as you pass through some unsavoury areas on your way to centre, in immediate locality there was not much in the way of restaurants and bars, though not once did i feel threatened. A good bargain hotel to use for sleeping whilst you discover the sights of Athens. I will definitely be using it on future trips.
