I’ve just had the good fortune to travel on the Inaugural Cruise for Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas. The ship is very big with a capacity of nearly 5,000 when full so I imagine it’d be pretty hectic then but it is an extremely stylish ship.

This is an ideal cruise ship for an active family with lots to do so no need for bored children or adults! There’s a nursery for little ones, a teen club, indoor and outdoor pools and all the usual cruise ship activities.

They operate a free dining scheme which basically means you can choose when you eat but the downside of this is that there are people coming and going the the whole time throughout your meal which wouldn’t suit everyone, also I felt a little rushed at times which I did not when travelling with P&O Cruises.

The spa prices were very expensive so take plenty of spending money if you plan to indulge.

All in all a fabulous ship with lovely staff and great entertainment but I would not like to travel on it in high season due to the sheer size of it.
