I fell in love with Turkey last year when I when on a Solo holiday as a guest blogger. Read my review.
This year I returned to the same area but different accommodation as I was holidaying with my sisters. I booked Ants Apartments as part on our independent holiday. We just wanted a basic apartment with a cafe and pool on site so we could enjoy a budget few weeks. I had convinced my family that the area was amazing, the people friendly and the boat trips pretty impressive. We arrived around midnight and were immediately impressed by the apartments size. The bedroom had two twin beds and a balcony, the lounge/kitchen area was large and had another balcony. The sofa bed had a further pullout mattress so four people could stay in the apartment quite easily. The shower was bigger than normal and the two ring cooker was fine for our needs. Safe deposit boxes were available at the reception area for £2 per day which we used for the two weeks and the rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were fun and helpful and the pool was large with plenty of sun loungers. The cafe was reasonably prices and we ate snacks there but cooked main meals in the apartment or ate while we were out and about. We visited the busy market of fethiye and stocked up of fruit, cheese and salad for extremely cheap prices. We went to the stunning national park beach and swam in the clear water. A boat trip to visit six islands including the ruins of St Nicholas Island was certainly a highlight, as was the Turkish bath were Adonis and his eye candy assistants still flip you about like a kipper. Ant Apartments also has a bar which was quite fun and plenty of seats in the shade so your could relax even when the sun is blazing. There are shops just across the road and you can catch a bus to the beach for a few lire. The apartment does provide a free bus to a beach by the blue lagoon but we found this beach crowded with sun loungers and only went there once. We paid £225 for the apartment for two weeks from 22 September. That was just £75 per person we were more than happy with the apartments and would certainly return. When I wrote my guest blog post last year I mentioned a cockerel who crowed every morning and was lucky he didn`t end up in a pan. He is still there and according to the staff there a few few living wild in the trees so be prepared.
