We were excited to be joining others who enjoyed Andre Rieu at St Pancras Station to board Eurostar to Brussels. Once we arrived we were met by a Newmarket Holidays escort who directed us to the relevant bus to which hotel we were staying for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We were staying at the Greham Belson Hotel which was half an hour away by bus from the centre of Brussels. The concert was the next evening at 9pm in Maastricht leaving the hotel 1pm. On arrival we were shown where the concert was, where the 80 buses would be parked. We were advised to go to the market square at 6pm to locate our bus, so we would know where to go after the concert. On arriving at the open air concert, plenty of free WCs, emergency mac and water on our chairs as it was in the open air event. Mother nature was kind that evening until we got back on the coach to go back to the hotel when it poured with rain. The town was in the atmosphere and we started the event with a carnival, then the local band before the singers, band and Andre appearing in Taxis to the stage. The concert was excellent, 15mins interval, and finished with streamers, confetti and 3 groups of fireworks. We arrived back at the hotel 2.30am. Tired but we had had a fantastic time . It was not until 2.30pm latter that day that we alighted the bus to return to Brussels to catch the Eurostar back to London. There was quite a lot of walking associated with where you were on the Eurostar, then over cobbles to get the bus to hotel at Brussels station, then in Maastricht to the event and back to the bus, but nowhere were we rushed. Newmarket Holidays had things well organised, I would certainly travel again with them to an event.
