My husband & I had 4 days & nights at the Alveston Hall Hotel with retired colleagues.
We met for breakfast (if around at the same time) & dinner & did our own thing in the day.
Lots to see (we had relatives to see as well) – lots of canals & a boat-lift, Roman remains in Chester, & fields of cows! Lovely countryside.
The hotel was comfortable & good value – the only downside was it felt like staying in an old people’s home, with so many wheelchairs, people using sticks & generally very slow in corridors! It was good that it was so inclusive & good to know there are places like this that will welcome us if and when we are not so active.
I was surprised at the amount of traffic – nearly as much as in the South-East, but good to know we could park when we got back to the hotel.
