Myself and my wife went to Alton Towers for the day last week. It was a glouriously sunny day. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and, honestly, there was plenty to do. You do not have to be an under-thirty year old to have some fun, although it obviously does help if you are. We wandered through the gardens and paths, looked at some of the crazy rides (though we avoided going on them, blaming the queue as an excuse!) and watched the faces and reactions of the younger ones. We had a wonderfully different lunch in the Rollercoaster Restaurant where the meals are delivered to your tables via a rollercoaster from the kitchens – fascinating! Give it a go, you may well enjoy the day, as we surely did. It also makes you realise the value of life, to be grateful that you are alive and want to enjoy every day because one day you will not be able to.
