This has our very high recommendation. There is really nothing to criticise – it is wonderfully quiet, amazingly situated (we just sat with a whisky each night on the decking, staring for hours at the bay) with friendly, helpful unintrusive hosts and imaginative, beautifully prepared breakfasts. The room had the most breathtaking view, and every comfort – a deep, wide bed and the very best shower I have ever come across. It's not cheap but there are many pricier hotels which are nowhere near as special as this. Walk a few hundred yards out of the door, take the little ferry across to the island of Kerrera and spend the day walking round it to the one tea garden. Bliss.
