The Alnwick Garden is a treat for all gardeners. A must see and do attraction. Lovingly designed and created in the grounds of the marvellous castle, magnificent architecture sits side by side with great planting designs. Vibrant colours, amazing plants from around the world and wonderful water features and cascades – the best I've seen for years. The gardens are sub divided into areas – the grand cascades, the ornamental garden, the rose garden, the woodland walk, the serpent garden, the bamboo labyrinth and my favourite the poson garden. Dangerous plants create a garden of intrigue, mystery and danger. Cannabis, magic mushrooms, belladonna are all there. Enter, if you dare through the wrought iron gates and be spellbound by the talks given by the poison garden wardens. Great fun.
