Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

My first impressions of the resort were not great – a bit run down and our room seemed super-humid and almost damp when the air-con was switched off. But it's a place to relax into – lovely pool, pleasant beach, good service generally. Loved the food and it was almost a blessing that we only tried the Caribbean restaurant near the end as it was gorgeous and we were trying to diet for a wedding! We got the shuttle to a sister resort but it was very quiet and sadly rained for the BBQ. We liked the Almond beach very much by the end of the holiday and would be thrilled to go back. Just don't expect 5* and you will find it an enjoyable destination.
