I wanted a week’s break at the end of September so I went with Saga holidays to this family run hotel set with views of the Dolomites ( just 2 hours away from Verona airport). A beautiful setting with rear bedrooms facing the ever changing scenery of these mountains and the front rooms facing the towns tennis courts, open air Olympic sized swimming pool and lake Molveno. The accommodation is modern with a variety of different sized rooms, with a lift, and elegance is present in all details though out the hotel. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool with loungers in the colourful gardens, and are awaiting opening of a wellness centre next month. There is a English library, table tennis and free wifi The meals are excellent and not good if you are on a slimming diet! but diets are well catered for. The hotel is animal friendly and the resident occupants check you over sometime within the week. The staff are very welcoming and cannot help you enough. The area has many easy walks and excursions ( organised though SAGA) eg Lake Garda, Trento and a tour of the Dolomites but there is also many challenging walks if you want them locally. The faculties within the lake area are outstanding but do not go in high season as it appears to be very popular with the Italians and Germans.
