I stayed at this farm house with my husband and 2 young kids. It was excellent! It is a working agricultural farm that grows tobacco and olives. It is Quiet, Clean and Safe.
There are several apartments to choose from. The one we stayed in was long ago a barn where they housed animals. It had vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams. Gorgeous! The space was quaint and clean with 2 bathrooms and kitchen. It was really an excellent value. The owner is very friendly and is a great resource for sight seeing information. The farm has been in her family for many generations and has Roman ruins on the property!
You need a car to get around. It is located just out of Perugia and very close to Gubbio and Assisi- which are amazing places for day visits. There is so much to see so close by! Perugia is known for it's Jazz festival. We happened to go check out a festival at one of the local neighboring towns and were pleasantly surprised by the free open air classical concert, the artisan shops, the food and the festive ambiance. There is a small grocer across the street and a large grocery store a short drive away.
This place was a real gem. Great value, hospitable owner, safe, comfortable, private, deal for mature adults and families. I would certainly go back without hesitation.
