Bologna, the seat of the most ancient university in Europe, is a wonderful town to visit, and the Aemilia Hotel was a great hotel to stay at. Outside temperatures were up in the 30s and 40s yet with the air conditioned rooms it was very comfortable. A huge, comfortable bed in a large, quiet room with TV, safe, ensuite and mini bar. Fantastic breakfast with all types of food available to cater for all kinds of diets with very friendly helpful staff. Don't be afraid to ask for a real Italian espresso in the morning! A great roof terrace with a jacuzzi & magnificent views of the old town. Another terrace on the first floor for lunch and afternoon drinks and eveings too! Excellant facilities for the conference that I was on. Popular too as there was another conference going on at the same time. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to all visitors to Bologna.
