I have to tell you about this hidden gem if you’re ever on the North Yorkshire coast, looking for a super place to eat and drink.

My husband and I found The Glasshouse accidentally while looking for a nice place to eat in Filey, a relatively small town but with a surprising amount of nice little bistros and restaurants – but this one really stood out!

The living tree growing amongst the tropical background of glass, natural wood, tropical plants and airy atmosphere sets the scene for some of the freshest, most eye-catching food we’ve ever tasted.

Add to that a spoilt-for-choice menu, GREAT service, and the added bonus of a cocktail bar, and I swear you would think you had been transported to a tropical island bar.

It was fantastic! Dog friendly too!

All we have to do now is think up another reason to celebrate so we can go back!
