Finding peace in the simple moments of a warm, bubbly bath and the tones of André Rieu playing the Blue Danube in the background.
Relaxing bath, lots of bubbles, scented candles, glass of champagne and Mozart….Bliss!
Sitting by the sea, it doesn’t matter whether it’s stormy or a calm day.
never been to a spa, would love to try it, thank you
My best way of relaxing is spending the day in the garden.
As I have difficulty walking some days, my favourite ways to relax are sitting in the sun in the garden with a newspaper and the cat or, if cooler, watching The Chase with a cup of Earl Grey and a couple of Choco Leibnitz.
A good early morning walk
Then back at home a milky coffee & northern soul music on
A walk by the coast with my dog followed by a meal out.
Bubble bath
Watching a game of cricket
A long walk in the countryside (whatever the weather) followed by a pub meal
A massage on board a cruise ship, heaven
My cares & troubles melt away anywhere overlooking the sea! Definitely my happiest place…
But a spa day would be a welcome treat! X
A coastal walk in Frinton on sea to clear the mind or laying on a sun bed with a good book in my beach hut
Spending time in nature – swimming in the sea, gazing at the mountains… lovely!

A long walk on a sandy beach with the sun on my back the breeze in my face and the sound of the waves breaking on the beach.
A walk in our nearest nature reserve at Stodmarsh. We did it yesterday and it was a long, slow walk as we kept stopping to look for birds we could hear calling; there were also many butterflies flying past or nectaring, dragonflies hawking, cormorants, egrets, coots and all manner of ducks and geese on the many lakes. A wonderful day and last night I slept really well.
Spa day in OluDeniz, Turkey. Start with a traditional ‘Hamman’, then relaxing treatment from head to toe.
My dream way to relax and unwind is to visit a Spa with my friend, sit in dressing gowns all day, have a fabulous lunch with Prosecco, try out all the facilities, have a massage and chat the day away.
Alternatively, just sitting in the sunshine in the garden with a couple of friends, playing Canasta, snacking on a danish pastry and drinking iced coffee is also perfect (and more likely, because it’s already happening on a weekly basis – I’m so lucky!)
A walk in the Peak District never fails to relax me especially if it is with my family. The great grandchildren are so energetic and entertaining and are always finding unusual and interesting things to look at. My grandson used to collect so many “fascinating” stones and pebbles he ran out of pockets and put them in his shoes! Luckily his own boys don’t do that
Autumn is a great time to walk round The Chatsworth Estate and shuffle through the leaves.
A visit to a spa with a good friend would be my perfect relaxing day.

A good swim and time spent in a steam room followed by a luxurious facial. I cannot honestly think of a better way to relax and unwind. Well that is unless you want to pay for me to go to St Lucia or the Maldives for a couple of weeks on the beach lol

Relaxing in the garden when the weather is nice. I’m able to enjoy the colours of all our flowers and watch the birds come down to the stream for a bath. A glass of wine goes down a treat. But I’m also very happy to have a massage or two whatever the weather.

Time chilling in garden, sitting on my swing seat with my dogs sleeping around me is where I zone out.
