  1. We, as a couple have never done a river cruise, but have looked into it. It’s my 60th birthday nextweek, and our 41st wedding anniversary in May, it’d be amazing to win something like this.

  2. I’ve already done a taster cruise along the Danube with Avalon Waterways, which was very enjoyable. I’d like to do a Seine river cruise at some time in the future.

  4. We would love to cruise down the Canal Du Midi in France, tranquil and interesting French sights and cuisine no doubt.

  6. We would love to do a Nile Cruise. Just imagine drifting smoothly past ancient history from the comfort of your cruise cabin! ‘Me-Sphinx’ it would be a ‘ferry-tale’ come true!

  7. I would love to take a trip down the Nile in Egypt. I had a dream about Egypt when I was little. I feel I have been there before, but in this life , never!

  8. A cruise on the lovely Douro with its stunning scenery would be most enjoyable. Starting and finishing the cruise in historic and fascinating Porto would be a highlight as well as crossing the Spanish border to see the wonderful cathedral at Salamanca.

  10. I have always hankered after a trip from the North Sea ( Rotterdam/Amsterdam ) to the Black Sea via the Rhine, the interlocking canal and the Danube. I am sure this would be fascinating.

  11. The Mississippi River…I booked & paid for a lovely trip last year….to Nashville & after seeing it & going to Graceland & a visit to Elvis, was due to board the biggest American Queen paddle steamer, for a week of luxury & Lulu was going to perform too!
    A tour of New Orleans with its famous streets & jazz would complete my holiday.
    But they went bust & it was cancelled at short notice, so I would love to try & go someday.

  23. This is our 50 th year of wedded bliss. We spent one of our Anniversaries at Lake Bled The memory has lingered full of the delights of The Hotel Bled the magnificent views and boating on the lake. The church on the middle island hosted a few weddings and it was wonderful to see the bride and groom sailing back to land to celebrate A cruise down the Thames sounds a terrific treat now for us two pensioners

A leisurely cruise visiting Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade with their amazingly rich historical and cultural heritage enjoying sumptuous food and drink along the way. Taking in the sights along the river that inspired Strauss, Mozart, Brahms and Mahler. It would be a perfect way to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary.

    We have never managed to rebook and have not been back to Europe since.
    How lovely it would be to fulfil our dream of cruising on the Douro and seeing Portugal.

  41. I would love a trip on the Douro. Years ago, in the last century (!), I had contemplated taking such a trip with my mother but, alas, never got round to it. It was cheap then and my mother would have enjoyed it. She used to get very seasick at sea but a leisurely river journey would have been fine for her. I would take the trip in remembrance of her.

  45. My husband and I stayed in Koblenz a few years ago and I remember seeing the river cruises going by our hotel and wishing I could join them, so I would love to do a Rhine cruise taking in Koblenz, Heidelberg and Strasbourg.
