To celebrate their 130-year anniversary in 2023, Hurtigruten is adding two new voyages: The Svalbard Express in Summer and The North Cape Express in Winter. One revived from history, the other poised to make history., both aboard MS Trollfjord, freshly refurbished in 2023.
The North Cape Express
A voyage poised to make history, sailing all of Norway. For the first time, Hurtigruten sails to or from the capital Oslo, journeying between Norway’s southernmost point and its northernmost.
- An average of seven hours in each of 17 specially chosen ports, fjords, and islands.
- Sail during the Northern Lights season which lasts across autumn, winter, and spring.
The Svalbard Express
The return of an iconic voyage from 1968, sailing along the Norwegian coast up to the Svalbard archipelago at the edge of the world.
- Seven hours on average to explore each of 14 handpicked scenic areas of the coast.
- Experience 24 hours of glorious daylight in the Arctic in summer: the Midnight Sun.
Life aboard has transformed since Hurtigruten first started sailing the Norwegian coast 130 years ago, but the expansive wilderness, Arctic wildlife, and magical light at the edge of the world are as spectacular as ever.
