VIVA TWO christened ready for the Danube

VIVA Cruises’ new flagship provides state-of-the-art river cruising for silver travellers after her christening on 23rd March, 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Over 200 international guests celebrated as Shiri Gordon, VIVA TWO’s godmother, launched a bottle of champagne onto the ship’s bow. “Do what you love and love what you do,” she told the crew.

VIVA TWO has the latest technology

Mature travellers on a river cruise with VIVA TWO will sail on one of the most advanced ships on Europe’s rivers.

VIVA TWO is equipped with a catalytic converter and a particle filter to meet the strictest of exhaust emission standards. In addition, 76 solar panels support the ship’s electrical systems.

Contemporary design

Throughout the 135 metres long, 190 passenger vessel, design is light and contemporary.

On the top deck, panoramic windows and open design create a light-infused, welcoming lounge that flows into an oval island of a bar.

VIVA TWO staterooms

VIVA TWO’s 95 state rooms are spread over three decks. Ruby and Diamond staterooms have floor-to-ceiling French balconies. Eight Balcony Suites on Diamond deck provide a spacious lounge area.

All cabins have a light palette of beiges, greys and neutral tones lit by ceiling mini spotlights. Every stateroom is well-equipped with a 32-inch flatscreen TV, coffeemaker, and a minibar.

Food on the VIVA TWO

VIVA TWO has three dining venues. Riverside is the largest providing a buffet for breakfast and lunch supplemented by dishes cooked to order. Guests appreciate flexible timing and free choice of seating.

At the rear of the ship, the Bistro offers a relaxed ambience and great views, throughout both day and evening.

Stylish MOMENTS is VIVA TWO’s speciality restaurant with Mediterranean inspired menus and thoughtfully paired wines.

Facilities on the VIVA TWO

On the sun deck, sun-loungers wait alongside a whirlpool and putting green.

A gym houses a bike, treadmill, and selection of weights whilst the wellness area offers treatments, a steam bath and infrared sauna.

Cruises on VIVA TWO

For the 2023 season, VIVA TWO will largely offer five-day short trips or seven-night cruises on the Danube: beginning from either Vienna or Passau. Though some grand 16-day cruises exploring the Danube Delta are scheduled for summer.
