The Holiday Property Bond offers exclusive access to over 1,400 properties to its 42,000 investors across more than 30 locations. You can read below about winter sunshine breaks with The Holiday Property Bond, but first a brief explanation about the Holiday Property Bond.
A. How can I holiday better?
Invest from £5,000 in the Holiday Property Bond for exclusive access to a portfolio of over 1,400 top quality villas, cottages and apartments in over 30 locations across the UK and Europe. For each £1 invested you will receive one Holiday Point each year which you can use to book the properties. And when staying in them you do not pay a commercial rent, just a no-profit user charge covering actual running, maintenance and refurbishment costs. This charge is level throughout the year so there are no high season premiums. For a studio for two the charge averages about £300 a week, for a two bedroom property sleeping up to six around £460 a week. And there are larger properties available. This no-profit user charge is only payable when you want to go on holiday. Your only ongoing commitment is a quarterly fee of just over £30 – that is around £125 a year.
B. Will there be more properties in the future?
As we attract more investors the more properties we will add to the portfolio – increasing your holiday choice still further.
C. How long can I holiday with HPB?
For life if you wish – the holiday benefits last as long as you hold the Bond. In due course you can pass it and the holiday benefits to your children and grandchildren, as many of our earlier investors have already done. If, however, at some point you and your family no longer wish to holiday with us you can surrender your Bond back to the company after two years or more (subject to deferral in exceptional circumstances). You will not get back the full amount you invested, although we would hope that you will have had some wonderful holidays. What you do get back will reflect initial charges (25%) taken before your money is invested in the HPB fund of holiday properties and securities. The fund itself also pays annual charges of around 2.5% and other overheads. The value of the fund’s properties and securities can also go up or down and so, like most investments, your capital is at risk.

The great thing about having a Holiday Property Bond is that you can share your holidays with your nearest and dearest. Not only can friends and family join you on your getaway, or even disappear off on their own adventure if they wish, but children and grandchildren can inherit the Bond too.
With such a range to choose from it may be difficult to know where to start. But Biniorella on Majorca, Alfaix in Spain’s Almería, Cabo Girão on the island of Madeira and Santa Ana in the Canaries are four of our larger resorts, and they have a huge amount going on for all ages.
Activities and excursions
Our holiday properties are all located in fantastic areas amid pretty countryside, close to historic sites or local hotspots. Excursions are organised on site so that you can get out there and see some of the best bits.
From Biniorella, for example, there are informative guided walks that introduce you to local history and heritage as well as the flora and fauna of the island. There are also trips to some of the local Majorcan towns like Palma and Soller, and to the many fairs and fiestas that the island is host to throughout the year.
The tennis and wellness weeks that have been a regular feature for the guests on site at Alfaix are a huge hit. And the site’s position close to the coast means the opportunities for family paddleboarding or jet skiing are endless.
Both La Gomera in the Canaries and Madeira are fantastic islands for walking, and October is actually our ‘Walking Month’ at Cabo Girão, so you can really put yourself through your paces.
There are tennis courts and lovely swimming pools at each of these four holiday sites which give you a great chance to learn or improve skills. Alfaix, down in southern Spain, makes a big deal out of the tennis facilities and there is a ‘Tennis Month’ that is very popular with guests in the spring.
The younger visitors to our holiday locations aren’t left out. In fact, one main draw for families to these sites is the Kids’ Club. For children aged 4-12 there are all kinds of activities going on around site over the Easter and summer holidays, with Activity Coordinators on hand to help out and supervise. There are activities for teenagers too and the great climate in Spain, Portugal and the Canaries makes it easy for youngsters to get outside and be active. However, if that’s not their thing there are also movie nights and pizza-making sessions as well as a whole range of other activities. At Alfaix the Kids’ Club has become so popular that it takes place not only over Easter and summer, but throughout all of the half term holidays as well.
Water polo and volleyball are always popular – with the adults as well as the children! And onsite tennis coaches are great with all ages, taking on groups or even providing private lessons, so all abilities are catered for.

La Gomera also has a beautiful course that Santa Ana is very close to with incredible views out over the Atlantic.
