This month we are looking for a guest blogger to stay for a weekend or short break (2 nights) at Hexden Lea, a single storey, accessible cottage, in Rolvenden, Kent in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This is a really gorgeous region, with National Trust properties to visit, the coast within about 14 miles, extensive walks to take and pretty villages, full of weatherboard clad houses, many with traditional pubs and a teashop, to enjoy.
The cottage is perfect for one or two adults, with a sofa bed for a child available in the living area. It is well equipped and has an open plan kitchen/dining /sitting area, which opens onto a spacious deck that affords views across farmland. A truly tranquil spot!
What is so extra special about Hexden Lea is that it is fully wheelchair accessible, with the wetroom being purpose built.
How to apply for this mission
If you’d like to take on the assignment of staying in Hexden Lea, and writing up a 600 word review of the property along with an article of 600 words about the area and its attractions, plus 4 or 5 photos, then please tell us why it should be you! Do you have a special connection to the area? Or a fond memory of a visit in the past? Or perhaps this part of Kent is a place you’ve always wanted to visit? Please add a comment below or join the Forum thread to tell us.
The chosen reviewer will be contacted in early August. Availability subject to the owner’s discretion.
