North Wales – Snowdonia Region

The Snowdonia region offers diverse landscapes including the National Park, Mount Snowdon (the highest mountain in England), the Dee Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Wales’ largest natural lake.

The area is also surrounded by a wealth of picturesque villages and coastal resorts. From the pretty village of Betws-y-coed, or ‘the gateway to Snowdonia’ as it is known, and the lakeside village of Llanberis, to the tranquil Isle of Anglesey and the seaside resorts of Llangollen and Llandudno where you may like to swap the coach for a ride on the Victorian Great Orme Tramway.

Do not miss the famous Horseshoe Pass on the way to Llangollen where you can make a comfort stop at the café situated at the highest point of the valley with amazing views.

Ireland – East Coast

Wicklow Mountains National Park For picture-perfect vistas, Ireland is hard to beat. The country has six National Parks but the largest of which, the Wicklow Mountains, is on the east coast and is a feast for your eyes. It is an un-touched, natural oasis featuring rolling green valleys, vast lakes, towering mountains, and the highest waterfall in Ireland.

Journey through the popular Glendalough Valley, or “the glen of two lakes” in the Irish language, for remarkable scenery and an abundance of wildlife. You will also notice the ruins of an ancient monastic city on the floor of the valley.

Close by is also the medieval city of Kilkenny which is worth a visit to catch a glimpse of the well-preserved churches and monasteries, plus Kilkenny Castle, an impressive fortress and chateau built on medieval foundations.

Isle of Wight – tour most of the Island in a day

Best explored by road, this iconic island is small enough to tour in one day, promising a delight at every turn, but you will want to stop to take in the delightful seascapes, quaint villages and coastal towns. Comprising over 60 miles of glistening coastline, and consistently enjoying one of the UK’s highest sunshine records, it is no wonder that generations of holidaymakers are compelled here.

Charms of the island include its award-winning beaches, rugged coastline, patchwork fields and The Needles, a row of three distinctive chalk stacks that rise about 30 meters above the sea, which is sure to be an impressive sight.

Italy – Lake Garda & The Dolomites

Touring Lake Garda by road is both beautiful and fun. Weave through the many arches and tunnels carved-out from mountains on waterside roads that look like a scene from the James Bond films! Roads with stunning backdrops and mountains that tower above stretch the entire 90 miles around the largest lake in Italy, so it is possible to witness the crystal-clear waters of Lake Garda from north to south.

Italian Dolomites As the lake is surrounded by historical villages and beautiful harbours such as the Limone sul Garda and Riva del Garda, it is easy and convenient to stop and explore.

Travel north to the dramatic Dolomites for magnificent views that you must see to believe. Discover the sheer beauty of the majestic Dolomite mountain peaks, that are snow-capped at certain times of the year, and be enchanted by the vertical walls, sheer cliffs and narrow, long valleys.
