3. Prado Museum
Prado museum is one of the most famous museums not only in Spain but also in Europe. It has a great variety of Spanish paintings and artifacts from the 12th century up to the 19th century. The museum is in a great location and its ticket rates are good value with entrance on Sundays being free. 4. Palacio Real
Palacio Real is the official residence of the Spanish royal family. The palace is open to the public when there is no official business going on. The main attraction is the different art forms around it depicting different classical orders. There are over 2000 rooms, many of them for accommodation in the building and it covers a total of 135,000 square meters making it one of the largest buildings in Europe. 50 of the rooms can be visited allowing visitors to admire the room’s luxurious décor. There are also beautiful gardens.

5. Buen Retiro Park
Buen Retiro Park is ideal for those who would wish to get away from the hustle of the town and enjoy some peace and quiet. Originally, the park was a palace garden explaining its intricate design and attention to detail. There is a lake within the park as well as fountains.
